COMPETITION TEAM

Being part of the competition is a really fun and rewarding experience that does require a certain level of commitment. We mainly travel to the Wichita area to make it easier and more affordable for our families. We may attend nationals at some point.

PRICING FOR PRACTICES

Group dances
$100 per dance as a choreography fee. After that, practices are part of the tuition. Each group dance will count as a class.

Solos and duets/ trios
These are not part of the tuition pricing as they are an extra opportunity that is not something everybody gets to do. The students will have to participate in the group dances that they are assigned to first. They can choose to participate in a solo or duet/trio on top of their group dances.

Duets/trios: $100 fee for the choreography fee.
$20/hour after that. Practice times will vary between 30 minutes and an hour per week.

Solos: $200 fee for the choreography fee.
$40/ hour after that. Practice times will vary between 30 minutes and an hour after that.
You are expected to be on time to your solo practices or private lessons. If you do not show up within 15 minutes of your scheduled time, the class will be canceled. If you do not communicate, and I do not know why you are not here within 10 minutes of your scheduled time, the practice will be invoiced.

COMPETITION FEES

Each competition has their own fees but here is a general idea:

Group dances: between $60 and $80 per competition.
Duets/trios: between $70 and $90 per competition.
Solos: between $110 and $150 per competition.

COSTUMES
You will have to buy a costume and all the necessary accessories (tights, shoes, head pieces…) for each dance your child is participating in. Costumes are usually between $70 and $150 each.
You will also have to get hair and makeup supplies for the performances.

OTHER COSTS
Keep in mind that the competitions are out of town so you have to factor in hotel costs, gas, food, etc…
We will be having fundraisers throughout the year to help cover competition fees, costumes, and other costs.

COMMITMENT
There will be a competition team contract to sign as you commit to it. You are committed to all the mandatory performances and practices once you are on the team (extra performance opportunities that may arise will not be mandatory).
You have to be at practices, especially the last two weeks before a competition (unless it was cleared out previously or your dancer is sick).
